A vCard QR code encodes your contact details in the vCard 3.0 format, the same format every address book on every phone understands. When someone scans the code, their phone recognizes it and offers to save the contact.
You choose which fields to include. Leave any blank and it's omitted from the card.
- iPhone (iOS 11+): Open the Camera app and point it at the code. Tap the notification to save the contact.
- Android (9+): Open the Camera app or Google Lens. Point it at the code and tap the save-contact prompt.
- Older devices: Any QR scanner app will read the code and hand it to the phone's contact app.
